From 2007 to 2014 the APRHF placed most of its focus on establishing the venues and services that it provides. To review a list of these please return to the main page of this website at APRHF.COM. In that time very little was done to build membership and staff beyond the original founding members and core volunteers.
As a result, we are pretty short on staff, especially on people who would be interested in leadership positions in the organization. The APRHF could very much use volunteers that would like to become very involved in the building and growth of this organization. Such volunteers would have to be willing to put in a lot of time, and as such, would be best if they lived near the APRHF headquarters in La Plata. Prior experience in leadership positions in other organizations would be very valuable, but is not mandatory.
Areas that we could definitely use help, especially from people with prior experience in these areas, include building membership, writing grants, seeking donors, publishing membership journals, preserving and archiving historical artifacts and documents, managing non-profit financials and tax records, and management of non-profit legal records. We are not seeking one person with experience in all of these areas, but multiple volunteers with experience in any of these areas. Another great area of need is someone who will take responsibility for coordinating all the volunteers and volunteer efforts of the APRHF.
Since our core administrative staff of key people is so small right now, you have a chance to be a major player in this organization if you have the time, the willingness, and the skills to help build this organization. Please contact us if you are interesting in becoming a key administrative member of the APRHF.
